GENFLEX Group Pty Ltd (ABN 34 698 143 449)
1 About this Cookie Policy
1.1 This cookie policy (Cookie Policy) explains how GENFLEX Group Pty Ltd (ABN 34 698 143 449) (GENFLEX, we, us or our) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at genflexgroup.com.au and its account areas (Website).
1.2 This Cookie Policy should be read together with our privacy policy (Privacy Policy), which explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information more generally. Our Privacy Policy is available on the Website.
2 What cookies and similar technologies are
2.1 Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They allow the website to recognise your device, keep you signed in and remember your choices.
2.2 Similar technologies include local storage in your browser, and scripts and tags that collect information about how a page is used. In this Cookie Policy, we refer to cookies and these similar technologies together as cookies.
2.3 Some cookies are set by us and others are set by the third-party providers whose services we use on the Website. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
3 The cookies we use
3.1 We use the following categories of cookies on the Website. Clause 5 explains how you can control them.
Category | What they do | Provider | When we use them |
|---|---|---|---|
Strictly necessary | Keep the Website secure and working, keep you signed in after you enter a verification code, protect the Website from automated attacks and misuse, and remember your cookie choices. | GENFLEX and Cloudflare | Always, as the Website cannot work properly without them. |
Functional | Remember choices you make on the Website, such as your search settings, so that it works the way you expect. | GENFLEX | When you use the relevant feature. |
Visitor recognition | Recognise your browser when you return to the Website, using our first-party gf_vid cookie, so that we can link your visits together. | GENFLEX | When you visit the Website. |
Analytics | Tell us how visitors use the Website, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive at the Website, so that we can measure and improve it. | Google (Google Analytics) and Cloudflare (Cloudflare Web Analytics) | Only with your consent. |
Marketing, contact tracking and advertising | Connect your activity on the Website to your contact record so that we can follow up your enquiries and understand your interests, and help us show you relevant GENFLEX advertising on other websites and social media after you leave the Website and measure whether our advertising works. | HubSpot, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (Google Ads) | Only with your consent. |
Maps and address search | Display maps, search for addresses and calculate walking times. These providers receive technical information such as your IP address and the map area you are viewing, and may set their own cookies. | openrouteservice, CARTO and other mapping service providers | When you use map and address features. |
3.2 With your consent, we use advertising cookies from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (Google Ads). These cookies tell Meta and Google that you visited the Website and what you did on it (for example, that you viewed a space or sent an enquiry), so that they can show you GENFLEX advertising and tell us whether our advertising works. Meta and Google may combine this information with other information they hold about you and use it in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not use advertising cookies unless you accept marketing cookies, and you can withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link on the Website.
3.3 Our emails may also contain technology that tells us whether you have opened an email or clicked a link in it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use that information.
4 Your activity on the Website
4.1 In addition to cookies, we keep our own records of activity on the Website, including the searches run, the pages viewed and the spaces you show interest in. We keep activity records that identify you, such as activity linked to your account or to an enquiry you have made, for 13 months. We keep other activity records for 90 days. These periods apply to the activity records kept in our own systems. Where you have consented to HubSpot tracking, activity recorded in HubSpot is kept in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which also explains how we use our activity records.
4.2 We also record your IP address and browser information during your sessions on the Website, and use that information to keep the Website secure and working properly and to work out your general location.
5 Your choices
5.1 When you first visit the Website, we ask whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. You can accept both, reject both or make a separate choice for each. We do not use those cookies unless you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on the Website.
5.2 If your browser, or an extension you have installed, sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of analytics and marketing cookies for that browser.
5.3 You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including by blocking or deleting them. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Website, such as signing in to your account, may not work.
5.4 You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting information about your visits to websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Information about how Google uses data from websites that use its services is available on Google’s website. You can also control how Meta and Google use information to show you advertising through the ad settings in your Facebook, Instagram and Google accounts.
6 How long cookies last
6.1 Strictly necessary and functional cookies generally last for your browsing session, or for as long as is needed to keep you signed in or to remember your choices. Our gf_vid visitor cookie lasts for 13 months. Other cookies, including analytics, marketing and advertising cookies and cookies set by map providers, last for the periods set by the relevant provider, which for Google Analytics can be up to two years. Meta and Google set the periods for their own advertising cookies.

7.1 We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we change the technologies or providers we use. We will publish the updated version on the Website. If we add cookies or providers that need your consent, we will ask for your consent before we use them.
